How XP, levels, streaks, and challenges work on SweepZone
What earns XP and coins, how levels, daily challenges, monthly goals, streaks, and achievements fit together, and where it's all saved.
By SweepZone Team · Updated · 6 min read
Every game on SweepZone feeds into the same progress system. Play any game and you earn XP and coins. XP raises your level, and daily challenges, monthly goals, and achievements add extra rewards on top. There's no account to create. Everything is saved in your browser as soon as you start playing.
The sections below cover what earns what, how the pieces fit together, and where your progress is kept.
XP and coins
Every finished game run earns XP and coins. How much depends on the game and how well you played. The guide on each game's page lists its exact rewards, but the pattern is the same everywhere: better runs earn more, and many games add a bonus for beating your personal best.
Trivia Royale works a little differently. Every correct answer earns coins and XP, and the total for the round is added when you finish all five questions.
On top of game rewards, you can earn XP and coins from daily challenges, monthly goals, and achievements, all covered below.
XP is what raises your level. Coins are a second running total, a record of how much and how well you've played. There's nothing to buy with them. Coins and XP can't be purchased, sold, traded, or exchanged for money or prizes, and they have no cash value.
Levels
Your level goes up as your total XP grows. Each level takes a bit more XP than the one before, so early levels come quickly and later ones take longer. Going from level 1 to 2 takes 100 XP, while going from level 9 to 10 takes 2,700.
Here's the total XP needed to reach some milestone levels:
| Level | Total XP needed |
|---|---|
| 2 | 100 |
| 3 | 383 |
| 5 | 1,703 |
| 10 | 11,106 |
| 25 | 118,809 |
| 50 | 689,513 |
Your level comes with a badge on your profile: Bronze up to level 7, Silver from level 8, Gold from 18, Platinum from 30, and Legend from level 50. Three achievements mark levels 10, 25, and 50.
Your daily streak
Your streak counts the days in a row you've opened SweepZone. It goes up by one on each new day you visit, up to a maximum of 30. The day changes at midnight UTC, the same moment for everyone, so depending on where you live it may roll over during your evening or your morning.
If you miss a day, your streak starts over at 1. Nothing else is lost: your XP, level, coins, achievements, and best scores stay exactly where they were.
Three achievements mark 7-, 14-, and 30-day streaks, and one of the monthly goals follows your streak too. If a streak ever starts to feel like an obligation, have a look at our article on healthy habits for daily games.
Daily challenges
Every day you get three challenges, picked from a pool of eight. Everyone gets the same three on the same day, and they change at midnight UTC.
| Challenge | What counts | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Play 2 games | Any game | 150 coins, 75 XP |
| Play 4 games | Any game | 250 coins, 120 XP |
| Finish a puzzle game | Merge Vault 2048, Match 3, PulsePath, or Puzzle Rush Blitz | 150 coins, 75 XP |
| Play Word Rush Vault | Finish one run | 150 coins, 75 XP |
| Play a timing game | Stack Tower Rush or Flappy Prize Run | 150 coins, 75 XP |
| Finish a Memory Match round | Any difficulty | 150 coins, 75 XP |
| Beat a personal best | Top your own best score in any game | 200 coins, 100 XP |
| Answer trivia | Finish a round of Trivia Royale | 175 coins, 80 XP |
Only what you do that day counts, so games you played yesterday don't carry over. When a challenge is complete, claim its reward from the Today panel on the home page or from the challenges page. Claim all three in one day and you get a Daily Sweep bonus of 500 coins and 200 XP.
Monthly goals
Three longer goals run for each calendar month and start over when a new month begins, again at midnight UTC. Each has four milestones, and you claim each milestone's reward separately on the challenges page.
- Marathon counts the games you finish this month. Its milestones are at 12, 25, 37, and 50 games, worth 250, 600, 1,000, and 2,500 coins, plus 100, 250, 400, and 800 XP.
- Daily Visitor follows your current streak, with milestones at 7, 14, 21, and 30 days. They're worth 500, 1,500, 3,000, and 6,000 coins, plus 200, 500, 800, and 2,000 XP.
- Achievement Hunter counts achievements you unlock this month, with milestones at 3, 5, 8, and 10. They're worth 250, 500, 1,200, and 3,000 coins, plus 100, 250, 500, and 1,000 XP.
Achievements
There are 21 achievements, and each one unlocks once. They come in four rarities, and rarer achievements are worth more XP: 50 for common, 150 for rare, 400 for epic, and 1,000 for legendary. Each also comes with coins.
They fall into a few groups:
- Games played: First Game (1), Just Getting Started (10), Game On (50), Arcade Royalty (200), and Arcade Legend (1,000).
- Personal bests: New Record, for beating a personal best once, and Record Breaker, for doing it 25 times.
- Types of game: Puzzle Fan, Wordsmith, Steady Hands, and Total Recall, for finishing 20 puzzle games, Word Rush Vault runs, timing-game runs, and Memory Match rounds. Trivia Buff is for answering 25 trivia questions, which is five full rounds.
- Streaks: Week Warrior (7 days), Fortnight Flame (14), and Month Master (30).
- Challenges: Challenger (10 daily challenges) and Task Master (100).
- Levels: Double Digits (level 10), Quarter Century (25), and Half Hundred (50).
- Profile: Picture Perfect, for saving a display name on your profile.
You can see every achievement, and your progress toward each, on the achievements page.
What counts as a game
A game counts when a run or round ends with a result. That includes finishing a Daily run, crashing out of an Endless run, or ending a Match 3 round early. In Memory Match, ending a round before you've found every pair doesn't count, and in Trivia Royale a round counts once you've answered all five questions.
Each run is counted only once, so refreshing the page or revisiting a result doesn't count it again.
Some challenges and achievements depend on which type a game belongs to. Stack Tower Rush and Flappy Prize Run are timing games. Merge Vault 2048, Match 3, PulsePath, and Puzzle Rush Blitz are puzzle games. Word Rush Vault, Memory Match, and Trivia Royale each have their own challenge and achievement.
Where your progress is saved
Your progress is stored in your browser on the device you're using. There's no account, and your progress isn't kept on our servers, which also means:
- Progress doesn't move between devices or browsers. Your phone and your laptop each keep their own.
- Clearing your browser's site data for SweepZone erases it.
- In a private or incognito window, progress is deleted when you close the window.
If you want a fresh start, use Reset progress on your profile. It clears your level, XP, coins, streak, challenges, monthly goals, and achievements. Your best scores in each game are kept.
Why rewards work this way
SweepZone is a free arcade, and the rewards are there to make playing more fun: something to aim for today, this month, and over the long run. They're earned only by playing. We never give rewards for viewing or clicking ads, and there's nothing to buy. You can read more about how we keep things fair on our Fair play page.
To start earning, pick a game from the arcade.
