How to play Flappy Prize Run

By SweepZone Team · Updated · 4 min read

Flappy Prize Run is a one-tap flying game. Your plane falls on its own, and each tap gives it a quick lift. Steer through the gap in each gate and collect the pickups floating nearby. The goal is to get as far as you can before you clip a gate or hit the floor or ceiling.

If you've played other flap-to-fly games, the idea will feel familiar. The difference is the structure. Gates are grouped into checkpoints, and a streak multiplier rewards clean flying. There's also the Flight Vault, which turns a good run into a bigger reward.

Controls

  • Phone or tablet: tap the stage.
  • Mouse: click the stage.
  • Keyboard: press Space or the Up arrow.

The run starts with a flap as soon as you press Play. Each flap gives the same upward push no matter how hard you tap, so you control your height by how often you tap.

Modes

ModeStructureStarting shieldsFeel
Daily Flight5 checkpoints of 5, 7, 9, 12, and 15 gates1The day's main run, and today's Daily Challenge
Endless FlightA checkpoint every 10 gates, forever0The longest runs and the highest scores
PracticeA checkpoint every 6 gates, with slower speed and larger gaps1Learning the rhythm

The Daily Flight has five checkpoints, 48 gates in total, and the same gates for everyone today. It's also today's Daily Challenge: clear the day's target (the first checkpoint early in the week, two later on) and it's marked done for today. You can keep retrying it, and any finished run of any game counts toward your daily streak.

The first Daily checkpoint is a gentle warm-up: slower, with wide gaps, and a bump never ends the run. Each new checkpoint after that makes the game harder. The scroll speed rises by about 8% per checkpoint. Gaps also get a little narrower, and gates come a little closer together.

Shields

A shield absorbs one crash, whether it's a gate, the floor, or the ceiling. The Daily Flight and Practice both start you with one. Endless starts you with none. When a shield saves you, you get a moment of safety to recover, but your gate streak resets to zero.

Pickups

About half of the gates have a pickup floating near the gap:

  • Coins are worth 25 points.
  • Sparks and lightning bolts give you 50 points each.
  • Green stars are rarer and worth 150 points.
  • A few special pickups don't score points. Instead, they slow the whole game down for four seconds, which helps a lot in a tight section.

Pickups also fill the Flight Vault, so grab the ones on your line. Never risk a crash to reach one.

Scoring

EventPoints
Passing a gate100
Clearing a checkpoint1,000
Finishing the Daily Flight5,000
A streak of 10, 25, or 50 gates500, 2,500, or 10,000
Pickups25 to 150

Your streak is the number of gates passed in a row. It sets a multiplier on everything you score: 1.25x at 5 gates, 1.5x at 10, 2x at 20, 3x at 35, and 5x at 50. The streak resets when a shield absorbs a crash, and it starts again from zero at each new checkpoint.

The Flight Vault

The vault meter fills as you fly. Each gate adds 0.6%, each checkpoint 6%, and finishing the Daily Flight 12%. Pickups add between 0.4% and 1.4% each. The tier you finish on sets your reward:

TierVault neededXPCoins
Bronze20%5025
Silver40%10050
Gold60%200100
Diamond80%400200
Mega100%750400

If you crash before Bronze, you still earn a smaller reward based on the checkpoints you cleared. Everything is added to your profile when the run ends.

Tips

  • Tap to a steady beat. Most crashes come from panic taps. Find the tap rate that keeps the plane level and repeat it, adding or skipping one tap to adjust.
  • Aim for the middle of the gap. It leaves room for a late or early tap. Flying along the edge only works until the gaps shrink.
  • Look ahead. Watch the next gate's opening instead of your plane. You'll start the climb or drop earlier and more smoothly.
  • Start big climbs early. Each tap is a short hop, and gravity pulls the plane back down quickly, so getting from a low gap to a high one takes several taps spread out over the approach.
  • Don't count on the shield. A shield hit costs your whole streak, and in Endless you don't have one at all.
  • Learn the rhythm in Practice. In Practice, gaps are much bigger and the scroll is slower. It's the best place to learn the tap rhythm.

Common mistakes

  • Tapping in bursts. Several quick taps send the plane into the ceiling.
  • Chasing a pickup at the top or bottom of the screen.
  • Slowing down your taps after a checkpoint. The game speeds up there, so your rhythm has to hold steady.

FAQ

Can I continue after crashing?

No. When a crash isn't absorbed by a shield, the run ends and you get your reward. Start another run whenever you like.

Why did my multiplier drop?

Your gate streak resets at every checkpoint and whenever a shield saves you, so the multiplier builds up again from 1x.

Does the game get faster in Endless?

Yes. Every checkpoint raises the speed and tightens the gaps a little, so the longer you survive, the harder it gets.

Where are my best scores?

Your best score for each mode, and your best gate streak, are saved in this browser and shown on the start screen.
